Make it pink and make it blue! For the August 2021 release of the “Stitch Crashes Disney” series, Stitch has crashed the classic 1959 Disney film Sleeping Beauty. This month’s design is an adorable mash up representing Stitch, Aurora, Flora, Fauna and Merryweather. The pattern pays homage to the famous scene in Sleeping Beauty when the good fairies are preparing for Aurora’s 16th birthday and are making a dress and cake for her.
Flora and Merryweather squabble over whether her dress should be pink or blue, and as such, Stitch’s body is half blue and half pink. The print includes silhouettes of Aurora, the fairies, spinning wheels and flowers. One of Stitch’s ears is pink with the phrase “Make it Pink!” on it, while the other ear is blue with “Make it Blue!” printed on it. Three birthday candles can be found on Stitch’s head which represent the candles from the birthday cake that Fauna made for Aurora’s celebration.
Introduced in 2021, the shopDisney limited release “Stitch Crashes Disney” monthly collection draws inspiration from the original Lilo & Stitch film trailers from 2002, which featured Stitch crashing classic Disney film scenes. This monthly, limited release series of collectibles puts a new spin on the adorable alien and includes a premium plush, MagicBand and pin.
